School admissions

Admissions to Ravenhurst are made in the September of the academic year your child turns five.

Applications are made to the Local Authority and can be made electronically via their website. Paper copies can also be requested. We also encourage parents to let the school office know when they are requesting a place in order for us to keep an informal list at school. Admission to any other year must also be made via the local authority.

Visits to the school are welcome and are organised for parents upon request. Please telephone the school office to make arrangements.

All decisions about admissions are made by the Allocations Board at County Hall. Please check the local authority websites for additional information:

Leicestershire Local authority:

A smooth transition to high school is essential for a child's success at the their next stage of education and so we work very closely with all provision in order to support children and families with this.

Parents are able to choose which high schools they apply to, in the past many of our children have moved on to the following schools: Winstanley, Brockington, Brookvale English Martyrs, Sir Jonathan North, Lancaster Boys, Lutterworth High or Riverside. We highly recommend that you visit a number of schools and attend open evenings, these are usually advertised on their school websites.
